How it all began

The guest house was built by Maria and Rudolf Lorenzi in 1959.

2. Generation

Ernst and Bernadette Lorenzi took over the guesthouse in 1975 and hosted our guests with great enthusiasm until 2024.

The conversion

Since 2009, Eva has been supporting her mother Bernadette in the guest house and with the demolition and new construction. In 2024, Eva Lorenzi will take over the house with her children Leilany and Aeneas.

Ötztaler Radmarathon

A new dream begins

The second book on the Ötztal Cycle Marathon has 248 pages and is packed with annual stories, photo galleries, tales of cycling greats and almost-failed participants. Race directors and sweeper drivers share their secrets. The service section will contain training plans that begin in September. It is structured differently for Dreamers, Advanced and Pros. The road on the title page is embossed into the cardboard, which increases the value of the book even more.

Ötztal water

The Element of a Thousand Shapes

This book celebrates the element of water. The Ötztal water. The Sölden photographer Ernst Lorenzi has spent six and a half years tracing the paths of this water, the Ötztal streams, rivers and waterfalls. His pictures capture a world that changes every day. In order to make this experience understandable even outside of the Ötztal, Lorenzi has used technical interfaces to add sensory elements to the book. It is possible to watch videos, watch the water flow, listen to music composed for this book (by trumpeter Franz Hackl) - and even talk to the Vernagt glacier on the phone. Lorenzi on his work: "We in the Ötztal are happy people. We live in a natural environment that allows us to drink our water wherever we find it, and thus become part of the great cycle of nature." Lorenzi's Water Book is a three-kilogram, almost 400-page reading book, a photo book, a video book and a music book all in one, divided into 18 chapters and seven photo series. The three-dimensional cover image is by the Gurgler artist Hannah Philomena Scheiber.
